Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has warned job seekers to be cautious of a fraudulent online recruitment link circulating on social media in connection with alleged free employment opportunities in Israel.

The Bureau said the fake website is unlawfully using its name, logo and photographs to create the impression that it is an official SLBFE recruitment platform.

Applicants are reportedly asked to enter personal details such as their name, date of birth, NIC number, gender and telephone number through an online form.

The SLBFE said the unauthorised collection of such information could result in phishing, identity theft, impersonation and other forms of misuse of personal data.
