Sri Lanka, July 16 -- The six parties consist of two representatives from each community - Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK), and the Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) from the Northern and Eastern Tamils, Ceylon Workers Congress and Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) from the Malayaga Tamils, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) from the Muslims.

They announced on Monday that they launched this platform to address common concerns of Tamil-speaking communities living in the Northern, Eastern, Western provinces and plantation regions.
