Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa returned to Sri Lanka last night (5) after completing a visit to Singapore.

She arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at around 11.20 p.m. aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH-179 from Kuala Lumpur.

Shiranthi Rajapaksa had departed for Singapore from Katunayake Airport in the early hours of September 16.

She had travelled to Singapore with Anne de Livera, the mother-in-law of her son Rohitha Rajapaksa. However, de Livera returned to Sri Lanka a few days later.

Upon arrival, Shiranthi Rajapaksa used the airport's Gold Route facility for special guests, paying a fee of US$216.
