Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- Seventy-six ancient palm-leaf manuscripts, preserved at the Moratumulla Tapasararama Mula Maha Vihara-a temple with a history spanning over two hundred years-were recently conserved and handed back to the temple. This initiative was carried out thanks to the sponsorship by the Bauddhaloka Foundation and technical assistance from the National Library and Documentation Services Board. This programme has been implemented with the aim of securely bequeathing Sri Lanka's Buddhist heritage, as well as those ancient documents, to future generations.
