Sri Lanka, April 11 -- The Secretary to the President has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) requesting a formal investigation into coal imports since 2009.

The President's Media Division (PMD) said the complaint was lodged this morning after taking into consideration matters raised in audit reports and in Parliament regarding alleged irregularities in the import of coal to Sri Lanka.
