Sri Lanka, Sept. 8 -- Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Attorney-at-Law Dr. Ajith Rohana retired today after completing an illustrious 38-year career in Sri Lanka Police. A ceremonial police guard of honour was held at the Welagedara Stadium in Kurunegala to mark his retirement and honour his longstanding service to the country.

Senior DIG Rohana holds a unique place in the history of the Sri Lanka Police as the youngest officer to be promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
