Rupee weakens against US Dollar
SriLanka, Oct. 7 -- The Sri Lankan Rupee depreciated further against the US Dollar today (07), with several major commercial banks reporting higher buying and selling rates compared to Tuesday.
At People's Bank, the buying rate increased from Rs. 326.53 to Rs. 326.92, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 334.62 to Rs. 335.03.
NDB Bank reported a buying rate of Rs. 326.50, up from Rs. 326.25, while its selling rate increased to Rs. 335.50 from Rs. 335.25.
At Seylan Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar rose to Rs. 326.60 from Rs. 326.35, while the selling rate increased to Rs. 335.80 from Rs. 335.60.
