Rupee strengthens against USD
Sri Lanka, June 10 -- The Sri Lankan Rupee recorded a notable appreciation against the US Dollar across several commercial banks today (10), compared to Tuesday, with the selling rate falling below Rs. 336 at some banks.
According to exchange rate data, Commercial Bank recorded one of the sharpest declines in exchange rates, with the buying rate falling from Rs. 329.93 to Rs. 319.50 and the selling rate dropping from Rs. 341.00 to Rs. 332.00.
People's Bank also reported a notable appreciation of the Rupee, with the US Dollar buying rate decreasing from Rs. 331.18 to Rs. 324.06 and the selling rate declining from Rs. 339.98 to Rs. 334.25.
