Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Nalin Bandara today alleged in Parliament that a ruling party MP had forcibly acquired a plot of land in Millennium City, Athurugiriya, after assaulting a security officer.

He claimed that the land was acquired for the establishment of a metro bus depot.

"Legal procedures must be followed when acquiring land," Bandara said.
