Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- A stormy party leaders meeting is expected today as the ruling party and the Opposition are in for a battle to seal the fate of the no confidence motion (NCM) against Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunathilaka told Daily Mirror that the Opposition will inform the ruling party that they are not prepared to dilute the motion as requested by the Opposition. "We will inform our stand at today's party leaders meeting. We will tell them that we will stick with the original meeting and will not be amending the motion," he said.
