Sri Lanka, March 18 -- Opposition MP Dayasiri Jayasekara today urged the government to restructure the debts of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and thereby extend the repayment period from 2029.

"A sum of Rs. 50 is being charged from every litre of fuel to enable the payment of CPC debts. This tax can be relaxed temporarily if CPC 's debts are restructured," the MP told a media briefing.
