Sri Lanka, July 28 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today granted bail to former Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe's son Rakitha Rajapakshe, former Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Horana organiser Charith Abeysinghe and former Airport and Aviation Services director Aruna Sri Chathuranga, over the bribery charges.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama ordered two personal bails of Rs. 5 million each for the suspects, along with a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 each.

An overseas travel ban was also imposed and the guarantors were ordered to submit affidavits confirming that they can deposit the relevant bail in court.

The Magistrate also ordered that their passports be impounded with the court.
