Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- Visiting Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Sri Lanka's Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa in Colombo during his three-day official visit to the island.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and the broader relationship between India and Sri Lanka. Singh and Premadasa also exchanged gifts as a gesture of goodwill, reflecting the longstanding ties between the two neighbouring countries.

Singh's visit, from September 8 to 10, is aimed at further strengthening bilateral defence and strategic cooperation between India and Sri Lanka. His programme includes high-level engagements with Sri Lankan political and defence leaders.
