Sri Lanka, April 15 -- Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places across the country after 1.00 p.m. today (15), the Meteorology Department said.

The Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and North-western provinces, as well as the Anuradhapura District, are likely to experience afternoon or evening showers.

Fairly heavy rainfall of about 50 mm is anticipated at some locations in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Meanwhile, misty conditions are expected in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North Central and Uva provinces, along with the Galle, Matara, Vavuniya and Kurunegala districts during the early hours of the morning.
