Sri Lanka, Feb. 26 -- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) will seek public opinions on a proposed electricity price increase for the second quarter of 2026. The consultation period runs from February 25 to March 18.
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has asked for approval to raise electricity tariffs by 13.56% for the period April 1 to June 30, 2026.
During the public consultation, people can send written submissions or give oral statements at designated locations.
Oral submissions are scheduled as follows:
March 7 - Ampara
March 11 - Vavuniya
March 12 - Matale
March 16 - Hambantota
March 18 - Final session
