Sri Lanka, May 27 -- It has been revealed that fabricated news content using the name, photographs, and video footage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya is being widely circulated on social media platforms, alongside the unauthorized use of official logos of various media institutions and news websites.

According to authorities, certain groups have been producing and distributing manipulated videos designed to falsely depict the Prime Minister expressing specific views. In addition, fake social media posts featuring her images are also being shared, misleading the public on matters relating to business opportunities, employment prospects, the country's economy, and tax policies.
