Sri Lanka, April 21 -- A disturbing incident involving the poisoning of 10 dogs in the Kalawewa area yesterday has triggered widespread public outrage and prompted swift intervention by animal welfare activists.

According to the Animal Welfare Coalition (AWC), executive member Mihiri Siriwardena visited the site yesterday and engaged with relevant authorities to push for urgent legal action over what the group described as a "cruel and unacceptable act against innocent animals."
