Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- Director of the Early Childhood Development Authority H.M.Wasantha Herath said holding tuition classes for Pre- School children is illegal.

Addressing a meeting of the Monaragala District Women and Children Development Committees yesterday at the District Secretariat he pointed out that children of pre-school age should not be burdened with private tuition subject wise.

He said opening of new pre-schools will not be allowed and that the pre-school at Sevenagala was closed.
