SriLanka, Sept. 21 -- Acknowledging the tax burden faced by the public, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday said the Government was expecting to remove certain taxes through the 2027 Budget to provide relief to people affected by rising costs.

Addressing a public rally in Akuressa, the President said the Government had focused on strengthening the economy, livelihoods, food security and opportunities for economic advancement, while stressing the need to translate these efforts into tangible benefits for the people.
