Srilanka, Sept. 27 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced today that the Government will allocate Rs. 41 billion to provide fuel subsidy over the next three months.

Speaking at a public rally in Gampaha, the President said a Cabinet paper seeking approval for the allocation will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers tomorrow.

Accordingly, fuel price concessions are expected to be provided during October, November and December.

The President also noted that the Government had previously allocated Rs. 100 billion to provide relief following the increase in fuel prices triggered by the conflict in the Middle East.
