Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- The Sri Lanka Police appeared to be in disarray, with the decision to transfer top-ranking police officers being subsequently cancelled, Opposition MP Ajith P. Perera alleged yesterday.

Speaking at a media briefing, Perera said the cancellation of the transfers of Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Ranmal Kodituwakku and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of the Police Narcotics Bureau Ashoka Dharmasena was an indication of a clear lack of coordination within the police.
