Sri Lanka, May 8 -- The Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry apponted to investigate into the import of coal has informed the public to submit any information held by individuals or institutions regarding matters related to the imports of coal before May 22, 2026.

The Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry, appointed to investigate and inquire into various irregularities and/or unlawful acts committed in the import of coal, generation of electricity using such coal, and all other related activities from 2009 to April 16, 2026, has now been established at the 5th Floor, Magistrate's Court Complex, Adhikarana Piyasa, Sanchi Arachchi Watta, Adhikarana Mawatha, Colombo 12.
