Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- The two-day parliamentary debate on the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution commenced a short while ago.

Parliament is scheduled to continue the debate tomorrow, with the vote on the proposed amendment expected to take place tomorrow evening.

Parliament received the Supreme Court's determination on the legislation on Tuesday paving the way for the parliamentary debate.
