Sri Lanka, Sept. 29 -- All opposition parties are united in their position on the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, despite some of them staying away from the protest held against it, Joint Opposition Convenor Prof. G. L. Peiris said today.

Responding to a question at a media briefing, Peiris said the absence of some opposition parties from the protest near the Parliamentary complex on September 24 did not mean they held a different position on the 22nd Amendment.

Former Minister Dilan Perera, commenting on the issue, said some members of the Opposition had a narrow outlook.
