Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- As Opposition MPs held up posters featuring a Daily Mirror cartoon depicting President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, a tense situation erupted in Parliament today as they protested against the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.

The Opposition MPs shouted slogans against the proposed constitutional amendment, which was presented to Parliament along with the Judicature Amendment Bill.

The two Bills seek to extend the retirement age of judges.
