Sri Lanka, March 12 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said today that he is to propose a Peace, Stability, Order and Prosperity (PSOP) initiative to promote global peace in the wake of the Middle East crisis.

Speaking to 'India Today' on the Middle East conflict, Premadasa said the objectives of this initiative is to promote global peace and prosperity.

"Regional cooperation is also necessary to protect important geographical areas," he said.
