Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- Online appointment booking will be mandatory from tomorrow (29) for applicants seeking passports under both the one-day and normal service categories at regional offices of the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

The department announced that applicants visiting regional offices to obtain passports must book a date and time online before arriving to submit their applications.

The new requirement applies to both one-day and regular passport services.
