Srilanka, Sept. 6 -- The National People's Power (NPP) government is set to mark two years in office with a series of public rallies across the country, beginning in the Kalutara District.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is expected to take part in the opening rally, which is being organised under the theme "Our Government - Two Years: Good for the Nation."

Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said the rallies will be used to outline the government's work during its first two years in office. He highlighted the government's efforts to stabilise the economy, tackle corruption and strengthen action against the illegal drug trade.
