Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- A no-confidence motion against Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne, signed by 44 Opposition MPs, was handed over to Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera today.

The motion contains 50 allegations against the Speaker, including claims that he granted privileges to his personal secretary outside established procedures and acted partially when dealing with matters related to parliamentary sittings.
