Sri Lanka, April 20 -- The Department of Registration of Persons has announced that all public services, including the one-day service for issuing National Identity Cards (NICs), will resume from today (20).

The department had temporarily suspended its services from April 17 due to a sudden breakdown in its computer system.

Officials said the technical issue has now been resolved, enabling the department to return to normal operations.

Accordingly, the public can obtain all services as usual from today, including the expedited NIC issuance facility.
