Sri Lanka, March 19 -- A new method has been introduced from today (March 19) to help vehicle owners retrieve previously registered fuel QR codes when the mobile phone number used for the original registration is no longer in use or belongs to someone else.

The new feature applies to vehicles registered for the fuel QR system before March 14, 2026, and aims to resolve difficulties faced by the public when trying to access their QR codes due to inactive or changed phone numbers.

Under the new system, vehicle owners can obtain their fuel QR code by correctly entering the vehicle number and chassis number to verify ownership.
