Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- A set of new teacher and activity guides aimed at strengthening inquiry-based and activity-based learning in preschools has been launched under the Government's new education reform programme.

The Early Childhood Support Resource Guide, prepared in line with the Early Childhood Education Curriculum Framework, was launched recently at the Ministry of Education premises in Isurupaya under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.

The initiative seeks to ensure that children receive quality education from the early stages of life by guiding preschool teachers towards a child-centred, play-based and inquiry-based approach to learning.
