Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption over allegations of accepting a Rs. 100 million bribe in connection with a transaction involving the purchase of Airbus aircraft, has been ordered to be further remanded until September 29 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today.

The Magistrate directed the defence counsel to file a written bail application on September 22 and directed the Bribery Commission, the complainant in the case, to file its objections by September 25.

The Magistrate further stated that the bail order would be delivered on September 29.
