Sri Lanka, April 2 -- The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa today alleged that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is complicit in an alleged coal-related fraud, claiming the government is protecting those involved.

Addressing the media at the SLPP headquarters on Nelum Mawatha on April 2, Naamal said that if the President fails to recognize the coal issue as a scam and continues to safeguard those accused, it indicates direct involvement.

He further claimed that the conduct and statements of the President, along with decisions taken by the government, suggest an attempt to shield individuals linked to the alleged irregularities.
