Sri Lanka, March 18 -- The Department of Motor Traffic has requested motorists to produce either the Vehicle Revenue License, the Vehicle Registration Certificate, the Vehicle Insurance Certificate or the Vehicle Emission Test Certificate to correctly verify the identity of the vehicle when refuelling.

The Department said some vehicle owners have been inclined to use various types of number plates as vehicle number plates have not been issued during the recent period.

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is currently issuing fuel based on the last digit of the vehicle registration plate.
