Sri Lanka, June 13 -- A minor flood situation has been reported in the Kuda Ganga sub-basin of the Kalu River Basin following significant rainfall in the upper catchment areas, according to authorities.

Based on the prevailing rainfall conditions and water level analyses from river gauging stations operated by the Irrigation Department, flood conditions are currently being observed in the Kuda Ganga sub-basin. However, officials stated that no significant or rapid rise in river water levels is expected over the next few hours, considering the rainfall data received so far and the current weather pattern.
