SriLanka, Sept. 11 -- Sri Lanka is set to send a 238-member contingent, including athletes and officials, to the 20th Asian Games, which will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

The contingent is scheduled to leave for Japan in stages from September 13, according to the requirements of each sport and comprise of 156 athletes, including 100 men and 56 women while 82 officials including coaches and managers will also be on board.

Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage said the Ministry of Sports will bear all expenses related to Sri Lanka's participation at the Games. He did not disclose the amount which can only be imagined.
