Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- The Ministry of Environment has assured that it will provide legal and administrative support to wildlife and veterinary officers who face false or baseless allegations while properly performing their duties.

The assurance was given by the Environment Minister during a special discussion held yesterday (23) with representatives of the Wildlife Veterinary Professional Association.

The meeting also drew attention to inaccurate information being circulated on social media concerning wildlife officers, veterinary officers and the Ministry administration.
