Sri Lanka, March 6 -- The ongoing conflict in the Middle East could affect essential services in Sri Lanka while emergency is needed to ensure effective delivery of essential services, Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekera told Parliament today.

He said air traffic and sea movements are already subjected to limitations.
