Medical reports reveal PTSD, depression, anxiety in detained Suresh Salley
Sri Lanka, June 3 -- Retired Major General Suresh Salley, who is currently being detained and questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act, is suffering from depression, anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), his counsel informed Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena today.
President's Counsel Shavindra Fernando stated before Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena that these conditions had been confirmed through medical reports.
Counsel further submitted that, due to his mental condition, his client has developed suicidal tendencies and requires urgent attention.
