Sri Lanka, Nov. 2 -- People's Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi has called for strong dialogue among all stakeholders to address the changing electoral landscape in Sri Lanka, which is increasingly dominated by disinformation disseminated through social media posts.

Speaking at a forum organised by Democracy Reporting International, Hettiarachchi said all stakeholders should initiate a serious discussion on the issue. "It is difficult to control social media platforms, but some mechanism should be in place to prevent the spread of false information," he said.
