Sri Lanka, May 12 -- Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was summoned before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), expressed confidence in the proceedings as he arrived to provide a statement.
Speaking briefly to reporters before entering the Bribery Commission, the former President said he expects a fair and just decision from the authorities.
"If a fair decision is given, I should be cleared from everything," he said.
Rajapaksa appeared before the CIABOC this morning in connection with the ongoing investigation into the controversial 2013 Airbus procurement deal involving SriLankan Airlines.
