Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- The Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Borella has sought donations for dozens of essential medicines and surgical items, raising concerns over the availability of critical supplies at the country's premier children's hospital, Medical and Civil Rights Doctors' Trade Union Alliance Chairman and Consultant Physician Dr Chamal Sanjeewa said.

He said a donation request published on the hospital's official website listed around 40 categories of medicines and nearly 60 types of surgical instruments and equipment.

The medicines listed include Cyclosporine, Melatonin, Flucloxacillin, Biotin, Clonidine, Calcium, Vitamin D, Oxybutynin, Cephalexin, Atomoxetine, Cholecalciferol, Sodium Valproate and Clobazam, among others...
