Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- Kosala Senadheera has been appointed as the new Chief Magistrate of Gampaha by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

The appointment letter, signed by JSC Secretary Prasanna Alwis, was reportedly issued today (06).

Accordingly, Senadheera is scheduled to assume duties as the Chief Magistrate of Gampaha from next Monday (09).

New appointment follows the transfer of incumbent Magistrate Bandula Gunaratne to the Judges' Training Institute with immediate effect.

The transfer was ordered by JSC Secretary Prasanna Alwis.
