Sri Lanka, May 8 -- Court proceedings at the Fort Magistrate's Court were postponed for one hour after the Magistrate left the court to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the sudden death of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena.

The Kollupitiya Police today informed Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena that the death of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena appeared suspicious and that a post-mortem examination by the Judicial Medical Officer, along with a magisterial inquiry, was required.

Police made these submissions in connection with the incident in which Kapila Chandrasena was found dead at his residence in Kollupitiya in what is believed to have been a suicide.
