Jaffna airport control tower upgraded with air situation display system
Sri Lanka, July 9 -- The Electronics & Air Navigation Engineering (E&ANE) Division of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) has successfully implemented an Air Situation Display System at the Jaffna International Airport Control Tower, enhancing air traffic management capabilities.
The newly introduced system addresses a long-standing operational requirement by improving air situation awareness and strengthening the ability of air traffic controllers to identify outbound aircraft approaching from the nearest Indian Flight Information Region.
