Sri Lanka, April 23 -- Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said during a telephone conversation with Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath that Iran will take all legal and political means to hold the perpetrators and those responsible accountable and bring them to justice over the attack on the IRIS Dena off the coast of Sri Lanka.

During the call, Dr. Araghchi expressed appreciation for the Sri Lankan government's efforts in the rescue operation for the sailors of the IRIS Dena and for assisting in the transfer of the bodies of the crew members, along with other Iranian naval personnel, back to their homeland, according to a statement from the Embassy of Iran in Sri Lanka.
