Hospital warns of dangerous kite-flying accidents
Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- With the prevailing dry weather and school vacation period, kite flying has become a popular activity among children. However, following an increase in accidents linked to the activity, the Acting Director of Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, Specialist Dr. Pradeep Ratnasekera, has urged parents and the public to pay close attention to safety precautions.
In a special notice, Dr. Ratnasekera warned that kite flying without proper safety measures can expose children and others to serious and potentially life-threatening accidents.
