Homeopathic medical sector raises concerns over regulatory issues
Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- Concerns have been raised within Sri Lanka's homeopathic medical sector over alleged irregularities in registrations, professional qualifications and the regulation of homeopathic medicines.
The concerns were formally raised in a letter addressed to Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa by Dr. S. Ramesh, Vice President of the Government Registered Homeopathic Doctors Association.
In the letter, Dr. Ramesh called for the cancellation of 49 registrations which he alleged had been issued by an improperly appointed interim committee without the required examinations.
