Sri Lanka, March 13 -- The Meteorology Department has issued a general weather forecast for the next 36 hours, warning of potentially heavy rainfall and thundershowers in several parts of the country.

Tonight: Showers or thundershowers will affect Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Northwestern provinces, as well as the districts of Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya. Some areas in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, along with Galle and Matara districts, could see heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm.

Tomorrow: Afternoon showers are expected in Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces, and in Galle and Matara districts. A few isolated showers may occur in Eastern province, Polonnaruwa, and Hambantota districts, while the rest of the island will ...
